Our history begins in the 60s. A family business that arose thanks to the Eng. Luis Enrique Sanint who with his effort, dedication and eagerness to undertake has left his mark reflected in every corner and moment of our evolution.

BEGINNINGS

FIRST FACTORY
IN BOGOTA

Like all great stories, TOIN was born in a home garage as a business of cutting oils used in the metal-mechanical industry.

At that time, the use of this type of oil required chemical components such as sulfur, which, due to its unpleasant and penetrating smell, bothered all the neighbors who, after long days of conciliation, refused to give support to him to continue growing in his business. Faced with difficulties and obstacles, he always had the conviction that led him to have the privilege of being supported by one of his neighbors, who properly supported the engineer with the argument "he is the only young entrepreneur in the neighborhood who aspires to become a businessman." Faced with the protest letter and the support that he achieved, he decided to take another path in the industry without leaving behind his dream of undertaking. So with ingenuity he decided to change the object of his project to focus on the manufacture of small metallurgical parts such as screws, nuts, fasteners among others, thus taking the first steps towards the creation of his company.

Siberia Project.

In 1978, after complying with the required legal documentation and overcoming various logistical difficulties, Compañía Tornillería Industrial Ltda was founded, whose primary objective is the manufacture of metallurgical parts and furniture fittings. In this process of creation and implementation, his eldest son, Juan Carlos Sanint, a Mechanical Engineer, joined the company, who with his modern thinking during the 90s managed to diversify the product portfolio, expanding it to sectors that had not been explored, such as construction and the furniture industry. Being thus pioneers in the manufacture for Colombia of the 32 system (euro screws) and minifix type assemblies, producing various fixing and expansion anchors. Due to innovation in the industry, it was necessary to incorporate an import model that would allow us to be competitive, and that is how we decided to explore new international industries to import the best that the market offered. After an arduous search, we selected cutting-edge fitting products and raw materials from more than 15 countries that would provide the plus for the furniture industry in Colombia

This innovative concept in the market marks the beginning of a new stage with processes that become the main resources of the company. This is how the processing of aluminum as a structural raw material and aesthetics as a source of creation for the manufacture of a piece of furniture is implemented. Finally, after unsuccessful attempts, the furniture lines emerged that broadened the vision as manufacturers with our first closets, coffee tables and dining tables. This growth in our company prompted us to create and start a new company always with the aim of lasting over time.

ALTEK considers itself avant-garde and passionate about exploring the latest industry trends in architecture and interior design. Under the concept of understanding the design process as a whole, it built the first manufacturing plant in Siberia in 2012 with an area of more than 10,000 square meters that complies with international standards and thanks to its innovative architectural design it was nominated for the award “steel pencil in the Architecture category in 2016 ”. Through the years we have been able to form part of this growth and history of discipline thanks to our clients who highlight the product for its lightness, materials, colors, authenticity in design and textures used in different settings. We managed to turn the spaces into outstanding pieces of interior design where, in addition to listening to the needs of our clients, we were able to satisfy a modern and changing environment, and this is how we advance through time in life experiences that motivate us and fill the ALTEK family with pride.
